Urban public open spaces - squares, parks, gardens as well as streets provide the urban life with the places that allow the users culture, communication, recreation, play and stimulation. Often, however, these spaces are also places of confrontation with other moral standards, customs, and traditions, other opinions—in short, the encounter with the other. Places where political ideas can be expressed, spaces where the self-expressions of the user finds a stage, or where observing and strolling become possible are extremely valuable. In public space design drafts we study these situations and try to plan adequate equivalences meeting these named requirements.
